On which side is the access panel in this case, in case the driver gets fried and has to be taken out?
by xcn
How would the Fane Colossus 18XB perform in this box?
by bee
you would load the driver in sideways from eather side...... so the acces panel can be put on the left or right side.......
Most of these have the back removable, complete with splitter.
Very nice...
Does the V shape touches on the panel where the speaker is mounted? Or has a small clearance? I was wondering cause it might create some noise during bass vibrations.
by bee
most w-bins load from the back, but look at the plans..... the driver sits on the inside of the rear chamber. You may be able to change the plan and load driver from the back.......

On second thoughts you cant change the plan as the v bit would then be wrong.....
by bee
the v bit sits level with the driver panal this would leave an 18mm gap to driver. 18mm being the thickness of the ply wood.
thanks bee, how about on these portions, should be no gap between the tip of the V shape and speaker panel? please refer image below.
cheers

looking at the plan i would say yes they do touch at both points you have marked out. done a quick rework of the measurments on paper. And again the v does touch the upper and lower part of the baffle, Hope this helps.
Thanks bee, i am a bit worried if its not screwed, it will create some noise due to vibrations on the edges?
by bee
screw and glue on the tip of the v bit, u could allso fill the void in the v with foam......
Many thanks bee... smiley20.gif

what drivers did you use on this cab ?coz lm thinking of making 2 cabs using p.audio sd 18 and is it a long throw cab? .good work mate
by tamuks
l did scketch measurement .the cab is rather too big .if lm to make 4 of them l will need a truck 2 carry them so can l make it for 15 inch speakers ? Do u have a plan for 15 inch drivers
by kmixx
can this cab be optimized around other speakers?
diz is w-bins designs and yaah, n RCF G401 is gud spk for reverse bins.
